Agree with the “fuck it” sentiment in gravity. But the first 45-60 and the last 45-60 seconds of that song are gold. Love the sound. Love the direction. this new one has me really excited to hear the rest of the album. Like they let the rhythm guitar breathe a little. Love it.
Okay this was surprisingly good. Loved the video too, made me feel all kinds of thing about what I should do more of in my free time.
I'm liking these two new singles way more than I liked the 2 singles from Coming Home. Keep 'em coming!
Yeah this rules. I really like the sound of the guitar on this, it sounds so warm and is a really different sound for them. I'm back on board for sure.
Yeah this great. Shout out to AJ and whoever recorded and mixed his bass - literally might be the best it's ever sounded on a TDs song.
That has been very noticeable for myself as well, makes me think the new guitarist Josh has some serious chops because I’m loving these vibes; it feels like summer which is obviously fitting.
Oh man, really fucking loved this one. Gave me that only tingly feeling this band's music used to give me all the time. Didn't hurt that the video was gorgeous and captured some of the settings I love hearing Dangerous Summer songs in.
Mind the roses on the lawn I pass them on the highway Dried up in shards of broken glass The colors climb into the dirt We’re all just slowly gonna die here So what’s an hour really worth? Take the road you’ve never been down Drive the heart until it hurts We love and die so here’s to Another fire Another line Another drink We never mind ‘Cause we’ll be chasing it always Yeah we’ll be chasing it always Dive into Another night Another star Another wish We’ll never find ‘Cause we’ll be chasing it always Yeah we’ll be chasing it always So never stare into the coming view And try to find out what’s inside of you There’s comfort knowing the answers are through the doorway Let’s get lost out on the road again The cosmic search of the soul I hope you find it I hope you find it Lines go by We don’t wonder We crash into the night like thunder
I'm thinking that's the Telecaster that Josh is always playing. Sounds like on the neck pickup as well. Not sure what else they did but it's such a warm inviting tone
What’s An Hour Worth is their best song since Mother Nature era. I’m sooooo excited for this album now. I really liked the first song, but this new song makes me feels things I haven’t felt since MN. LOOOOVE the guitar tone too.
Right, so I’ve bought a ticket to see their show with Cold Years in Sheffield, UK. I’ve not listened to them so where should I start? Preferably an album where they’ll be likely to play more songs from.
I'd say Reach for the Sun and Mother Nature are 2 great starting points. They've been playing a little less from RFTS recently it seems, and even less from War Paint. But I'd say those 2
Not for nothing. The drums are really shining for me in these two songs. I’m hoping to hear more fills in the album.
