New Spiritworld, new Heavy Heavy Low Low, new Hundredth, an artist named Petie. And then my family and life as well.
hey friends, sorry for the self-promotion. My band Never Home just released our new EP and the closer features AJ. He absolutely killed it, I wrote the part to be very War Paint-sounding and I'm so stoked on how it turned out. If you're a fan of Cities-era Anberlin or TDS' first two records, I know you would dig the whole EP! spoti.fi/4akwcXE
This was seriously incredible. And wow, A.J really delivered on that ending. He went all out for sure. Getting some Mayday Parade vibes, like the song "Stay" slightly Did A.J give any feedback like if he liked the song?
Thank you so much for the kind words dude. I was going for that sort of explosive build and release. "Stay" is a great example of that. AJ said he was really stoked on the part and the song, he was nothing but kind and professional and got everything over to me super quick. One thing I really appreciate about AJ is how much effort he put in, he could have phoned this in but he put in so much passion and took the song to another level.
They sounded pretty great at the Nashville show last night, whole band was into it and played well, I think the sound could have been more balanced in the room but that's on the sound guy, not the band. I would have loved for them to play longer, but the setlist was solid. AJ was super friendly at merch after the show, but def came across as preeeeetty buzzed. Also their merch selection was fucking GREAT, mostly the same stuff on their webstore, but I had not looked at it before. He said they're planning a fall headliner, so hopefully it'll come back to the southeast.
Thanks for the review! I have noticed everytime I see them, A.Js microphone seems low to me. Anyone else notice this?
Great song and EP, congrats! Love each song (all feature on my growing Best of 2025 playlist) with Just Set Sail Alone an early favourite. From a guy who is probably not your usual audience (mid 30s dad living in regional Australia).
Doing a discog run before a headliner tomorrow, forgot how solid self-titled was! Mother Nature got me back on the train after college, but can clearly see the threads that led there on the ST
No way. It’s one thing to have a falling out, it’s another thing when that person drains the bands bank account.
