Nice. Anyone know why it seems War Paint is the vinyl they usually don't have listed on their site?

 

They’ve had it in the past. I think Golden Record is the one that’s been out of print the longest.

 

While I'm very much down on the newer music, I always appreciated how AJ has handled merch the last several years. I think it's cool that you can just pretty much opt to have stuff like vinyl signed if you want it, and at no additional charge. He did that with my Golden Record vinyl order a couple years back.

Didn’t realize how much TDS and Miley lyrics had in common until this moment

 

Yeah that sounds absolutely like a current-era TDS song

 

I want AJ to be happy and live the life he wants to live and make the music he wants to make.

But this song feels like a joke that went too far and not at all what I enjoy about this band.

Guys it's a cover... but dreamy ballads is not what this band does best. They need to be punchy with an edge to really sound sharp. Lyrically there just has to be something new from the same old too.

 

But we can all agree that the hat should stay

 

What hat? All I see is AJ’s head looking like it always has since the day he was born.

 

It took me way too long to go, "wait, this sounds familiar..."

 

ooh, same here, same here. I was weirded out by the lyrics first too, and then it hit me only later on

 

Yeah people being weird about a cover song lol

 

I mean on first listen I liked it didn't realize it was a cover until I came here and now I feel like I'm not cool for liking it lol

 

I'm stoked for people who do like it, but I'd be okay if I never heard it again.

 

I like the cover, could use a few more dynamic elements in there but whatevs.

Side note, does nobody like Drowning from the Golden Record? I never see anyone mention it but it’s one of the few from the album that I think go really hard.

 

I like Drowning, but I think people were mostly thrown off that it’s track 3, it’s a pretty odd fit there

 

I’m not a fan of the cover

 

I think someone should set the hat on fire.

 

The hat is draining AJ’s bridge writing ability, it must be defeated

 

I am looking forward to the next Album, he said in the last story it'll be out next year, which is obvious, but be cool to have it a bit earlier in 2024. They do tend to do summer releases
