Same. They were swigging JDs but sounded good and were happy and appreciative despite I pretty small crowd
I’ve probably seen them live 4-5 times and thought they were great every time. Last time was their Mother Nature tour. Surprised people would say they’re poor live.
I actually forgot until this thread that I saw them Warped 2011 (or 2012? War Paint was kind of new, I remember that). Didn’t leave a huge impression. They were fine.
I’ve only seen them one time, back when they opened for the Early November in 2018 and they sounded incredible, but then that live album they put out last year or so sounded awful. It sounded like he was singing into a fan.
The live EP is pretty solid. Feels like it’s been years since they’ve had a good support spot on a tour though. I can’t imagine touring with bands like Emarosa and Secondhand Serenade are helping them grow their fan base much.
Vocal was strained and inaudible at times. He was absolutely trashed. He also was beyond gassed out and out of shape so he was struggling from an endurance standpoint. Just sloppy and lazy.
Of course. (Wasn't me tho) I actually wouldn't be surprised if Matt ended up back on stage with them in a few weeks. But so far, the edits to their lineups on wiki have been true
I don’t remember if it was Aj or the band, but there was an IG post recently and Matt was absent from tags (but Christian and other folks/bands were). ♂️
I must say they sure have a knack for getting amazing drummers. Tyler, Ben, and Christian all top shelf without a doubt. Did Tyler ever do any other projects? He is such a phenom and sad if he stopped playing altogether
He did stop entirely, he became a real estate agent and focuses on his family life. Hopefully he is happy but it is a bummer, he is a once in a lifetime talent in my opinion.
Ha, definitely agree with the lawn selections. I threw on MT and GR (along with The Maine's latest and Pioneer) while washing/cleaning the van today. Always a solid selection to listen to.
I don’t know why I put that, probably just saw MT written there and was thinking it was Mother Nature, which is what I was meaning.
I saw them at Warped in 2011 and it was exciting because I was seeing them in the flesh, but I wouldn’t say the performance itself was anything great. It was cool to see Tyler behind the drums. Saw them again in 2019 because a friend wanted to see them and the venue was next to my university, but, once again, nothing great. I’s much rather play their music while driving or going for a night jog than to watch them live.
