I will preface this comment by saying I know nothing about making music and will probably use the wrong terms. Dimensional Love is a brilliant song and maybe musically their best. There are so many cool shifts in the music throughout the song. Starts with a guitar riff and catchy piano over it. Music changes when the verse starts, then halfway through the verse we get Permanent Rain guitar work and drums that crescendo, but the prechorus actually slows down and then transitions into the chorus which has different music behind it every time it’s played. The first one is a bit slower, the second is sped up a bit with the PR guitar in the background, and the last one is a combo of slow and fast. It’s just great.

I know it’s been said but I wish they would slow down. They haven’t done anything that’s grabbed me in a long time and I feel like if they really spent time on a record they could hit the highs of those first two records again.
Record seems to pull from a lot of different style influences. I’ve enjoyed it thus far…and it’s a little different. Kind of neat to see they have a next record recorded.

London show tonight ruled. Band was really on form and the crowd was into it. Only played three from this record which worked for me honestly. Lack of War Paint material will never not be a bummer though. AJ mentioned playing the same venue as support for DGD a decade before, and then shit talked Jonny Craig. Then a couple got engaged during Northern Lights and AJ got them on stage. A really cool gig.
They slayed it last night at the Roxy. Best I've ever heard them. They played mostly newer songs on the whole from Golden Record forward. Christian is an absolute beast on drums. So driving. On a funny note.. They started playing Someday, and AJ goes " I broke up with my Girlfriend a week and a half ago.. let this song be a lesson to everyone out there " lol
I know I'm in the minority here but I could never hear The Permanent Rain in their setlist again and be fine. That's not even a knock on the song. Just speaks to how good their catalog is.
