I mention it every chance I get but no one else ever talks about I Should Leave Right Now. That bridge is so good.
Sins is another great one. It may count as a coda vs a bridge as its at the very end. But I know some people got these lyrics as a tattoo I turn my back on the rope tied to my ceiling To reason I won't go there anymore So I thought for once that death might bring me healing. The Atlantic washed our In Cape Town, in London 'Til we wash away our sins and the lives that we once lived.
I listened to war paint the other day for the first time in a good minute and those songs still hit me so hard. Maybe because I’m going through a break up right now but I haven’t related this much since the album dropped 11 years back
I think this is the new million dollar studio AJ mentioned on the Mike Herrera Podcast that Will Beasley was opening. It opened last month. And they are recording their next full length all next month. At least we are back on the one album a year cycle! I def love that about them
Honestly wish they would chill and hone songs in for longer. For this band I would prefer quality over quantity.
Assuming Spotify, like Apple Music, uses MusixMatch or whatever for their lyrics, that's pretty common. I'm really curious why they can't or won't use Genius as a lyrics source.
I'm not really hyped since all of the singles left me kinda going "eh". I think sideways was the best so far but the back half of the song just doesn't "go" anywhere and the lyrics repeat a bit too much. Just seems like the songs were written very fast without any time to evolve into something more. Would rather have new music than nothing so I'll always support the band regardless of the music not connecting with me as much as it used to.
normally anything TDS I’m #1. They’ve fallen off a bit since Mother Nature and losing their drummer IMO. Not that excited unfortunately. They’re one of my all time favorites as well.
First impressions are that Coming Home lacks something in comparison to Mother Nature, I kept waiting for the magic to happen here like it did with that record. I’m absolutely sure I will grow to love this record (except Someday, I don’t think that one will ever win me over) but boy did they set the bar impossibly high for themselves Favourites on the first listen are Gold Star and Wide Open. Goodbye is also a good closing track
