Yeah I agree that there’s been something lacking in these new tunes. Did they self-produce this EP? It certainly sounds self-produced, not necessarily in a good way. Hopefully it comes out and the rest of it is great
I like the songs more in context on the EP than I did as singles, and I think they kept the two best songs back as non-singles. Still, this one isn't quite owning my world like the first two albums did, or like Mother Nature did back in the year. I think part of that might just be that I really don't reach for this band much in cold weather, though.
It was produced by the band along with Will Beasley, who's also worked with Turnstile, Emarosa, and Asking Alexandria.
This whole EP is great. Aaron’s feature on “Come Along” works really well. Honestly this might end up one of my favorite releases by them already, I really love how they’re continuing to push outside of their comfort zone musically.
