My first thought as well

 

I like his delivery / the production better on this song than I did on most of the last album. I love their first two albums but something about the vocals and production just seemed different on the latter two.

High hopes for the rest of the new album.

 

I'm not crazy about the vocal production on the first few listens, but it'll grow on me in no time & I'll be obsessed with this song/record like everyone else they've written

 

Not a fan of how the vocals sound on this song or the last album.

 

Is the vocal doubled? There's something about it that's a little distracting. But i think it's a great song. I love these guys. Loved the last record. Excited for the new one.

 

The song is great. Listening in my headphones last night the mix sounded fine but this morning in my car there’s a high pitch sound throughout the entire song that drove me nuts. It’s that sound that’s reminiscent of Peter Gabriel’s In Your Eyes.

 

Vocal effect is a strange choice but overall a great song. Definitely feel the AvA vibes.

I've been on a kick of listening to them recently and this is very welcome. I like it.

 

That's interesting. This reminds me of Real Friends, but I can definitely hear the AvA in the ambient parts.

Music video had no story. Dump someone’s ashes and get high with friends? Didn’t compliment the song for me.

Happy to hear music from these guys though. Not a bad song, I just have a feeling i’ll like some other songs more.

I love the cinematography for starters the whole look and feel is pretty. But overall, it’s just a nice song/video, made me a bit nostalgic of hanging out with a group of Friends during my Sophmore/Junior year high school. I don’t know, just kinda touched me in a way haha

Also, I drive to Austin at least once a month (5 hour drive) so looking very forward blasting this and on my way up there next week
