It’s funny I actually remember some of these from hearing them last summer

 

Did a discog run this week to prepare and definitely was a fun decision. Just finished up my second listen and wow it’s just so good, idk what else I could really say right now

 

This is absolutely incredible.

6-9 minute Cure songs are the best

 

This is stunning, perfectly crafted, not a second of filler

 

Just finished listening. Holy shit that was amazing. AOTY for me!

 

feeling incredibly stupid to admit that i've never listened to one of their albums in full. guess that changes today lol

 

I kind of assumed the Disintegration comparisons would be overblown when all was said and done, but there are several tracks here that I could draw a direct line to similar ones there. It really feels like a direct follow-up to that album 35 years later.

The livestream was PERFECT. I don’t understand how a band can be that good. Every time they would start a song I was like THEY STILL HAVENT PLAYED THIS? And then was amazed at all the hits on the table

 

Anecdote: The snare tone on Drone:Nodrone is absolutely nasty (in the best way)

Whole album is so lush

 

I can’t wait to watch it. They did secrets!!!

Warsong is like borderline doom metal or something, holy shit that thing is HEAVY

 

so sick they played Push in that set, I love that song so damn much. also absolutely blistering performance of Deep Green Sea in there, jesus christ. might be the best that song has ever sounded
