I also picked up Happiness today! Alongside Sid & Nancy. Sold some records and other movies to scrap up some extra cash.

 

Stopped by the nearest B&N and picked these up.

 

There's a barnes and noble next to the barber I go to, so naturally I had to stop in.

 

Going to shoot my shot and hope my folks get me the Araki trilogy for Christmas haha

 

Started Sid and Nancy last night

 

Anyone have any must grab recommendations during this sale? Anything weird or obsucre?

 

Happiness, Gummo, Bamboozled, House, Real Life, and the Qatsi Trilogy are all off the beaten path and very sick.

 

I'm only familiar with House and Gummo in here, looks like I got some homework to do now!

House was my first ever Criterion purchase!

 

Seconding Happiness but it's very dark. Repo Man is a must grab. Blow Out and Sisters if you like DePalma/thrillers, Videodrome, Crash, and Scanners if you like Cronenberg/horror.

 

I've got all of the Cronenberg / DePalma titles, but I guess I definitely have to check out Happiness and Repo Man. I've heard some glowing recommendatios for Repo Man in the past as well.

 

It's awesome. Totally unclassifiable. Just a blast.

 

picked up The Silence of the Lambs and Anatomy of a Fall in the last couple days. very excited to own both

 

bought Videodrome yesterday

It is fascinating to me how the movies completely overtook and replaced the show.

 

and Beavis and Butthead Do America!? Dreams do come true. (Now give us a proper Jackass release with extras.)
