NICE, my goal is to rewatch Waters' stuff this month, I have a feeling I'm going to like Multiple Maniacs and Female Trouble more this time.

i’m making my way through viewing number 2 of twin peaks so i’ll probably need to buy fire walk with me in addition to a handful of others

just picked up Bound in 4k today

 

When are they gonna announce the Twin Peaks box set they’ve been teasing?

 

have they been teasing a TP boxset?

 

Here and there, it’s been heavily rumored for a while now.

 

hmm, i'm not opposed if a) it would be all UHD, or bare minimum b) significantly different from the remaster from a decade ago or so. that set works great, and despite the fact that David has been working on remastering his other films, the TP remaster seems really serviceable.

 

could definitely see a UHD for FWWM though. not immediately, but in the future.

 

That’s also part of it, it’s supposed to be released alongside the set as a joint thing.

 

We have to be getting a boxset soon, right?

 

I always get overwhelmed with choice during the sale.

Thanks, Amazon, very cool! I’m glad I got the monkey’s paw delivery option since I couldn’t find it in stores. Learned my lesson though so I just ordered it through B&N (I for the life of me cannot understand why I can’t just ship it to the nearest store) and I’m getting a full refund from Amazon… in Amazon cash.

 

that hurts to look at. really sorry they fucked up here.

 

Overall, it was like a three dollar difference and I can use the Amazon Fun Money on something else, but damn it still sucks. My heart sank when I saw the case bent like that, that was the one movie I really wanted and the sheer carelessness of the whole thing just bums me out.

 

FWIW, it's a really good transfer and i think you'll definitely be pleased when you get it in your hands. Amazon's packaging of physical media has primarily been a hit or miss in the past. B&N is definitely a bit better (although i once ordered a movie from them where the case was snapped in half down the spine, thank God the disc was alright). depending on the shipping method, there's probably a way to make sure the mail person handles it more carefully than whoever bent the other copy.

 

First haul this sale. I’ll probably go back this week. I’d like to grab To Die For, Mean Streets, Last Picture Show and Underground Railroad.

 

Also didn’t see a thread but I finally got around to The Beast. Wow, great movie. I imagine it’ll be on the channel at some point this year, and definitely will be in the collection soon as well considering it’s a Janus release. (I’m thinking actual collection and not contemporaries, same goes for Evil Does Not Exist).
