Sid & Nancy is streaming on Plex, so I grabbed Daddy Longlegs and Inland Empire. Both first watches. Was very close to grabbing Straw Dogs, which I have seen.
Also discovered that a lot of Criterion blu-rays appear to be $20 (or less than $40 at least) year-round on Amazon
I just picked up two earlier this week on there and they were both 20. now most of them seem to be 27 or more. I usually try to hit up their sales as often as I can. planning on getting Seconds with this sale
I watched To Die For for the first time a few months ago, loved it immediately. I also really like Saint Omer and All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, not sure I need to own them just yet though. Both pretty heavy, but great in their own right.
Criterion should commission that artwork and put out a limited edition for charity or donate the proceeds to some film foundation. It’s great.
People can be dramatic when they talk about being moved by a film, but the initial encounter with the whale is like a religious experience. Tarr is incredible but that entire film is beautiful and horrifying.
completely missed that they released GDT's Pinocchio so when I saw it listed for resale the other day I thought it was a convincing criterion knockoff
New Trainspotting UHD looks great, that Blu-ray.com guy can go eat my butt. Not crazy about the packaging though.
