Went to my local shop today and grabbed Double Indemnity, Paths of Glory, and The Worst Person in the World. Also grabbed Ali: Fear Eats the Soul, but the case was cracked so I'm going to return it. Making a list of stuff to watch this month to hopefully grab some other stuff later!
I’m pretty sure preorders are 50% off as well. Usually everything is fair game during the BN sale. It’s the flash sales where you can’t get preorders at 50% on criterion’s website.
Idk, the last sale on Criterion's website (I don't think it was 50%) I was able to get Raging Bull for the sale price. I wanted to get Sound of Metal and Blow Out but those don't look to be on sale
Just picked up Essential Fellini, Crash (1996), and All That Jazz (homework for Blank Check) from the Barnes & Noble sale.
Convenient timing for me financially let me get a pretty good haul: Cassavetes Five Films Last Waltz 4K Still Walking Beau Travail (this is a seriously amazing film) All That Jazz Fantastic Mr. Fox (which I feel obligated to get because I need that and Bottle Rocket to have every Wes Anderson Criterion) Of course, that's assuming I can make an order that doesn't get canceled (or can get any response from their customer service) right away
This is everything in my collection if anyone's curious or wants to be mutuals on Letterboxd! https://letterboxd.com/landondefever/list/myterion/
Just came in the mail. It was wrapped in a towel, inside of a cold bag (grocery store bag) and then inside of a box. Looks brand new besides not being in shrink wrap. Straight up theft for $110. Don't sleep on the used section of Amazon folks.
That’s awesome. I got a slightly damaged copy from the B&N sale about 2 years ago for the same price. Robbery.
Picked up these last night, all 4K/Blu ray combo: The Last Waltz The Piano Uncut Gems Le cercle rouge My list for the rest of the sale: Raging Bull Citizen Kane Double Indemnity The Worst Person in the World Time The Cremator
