My cousin claims to have the ability to see dead people.

Also my great great grandfather practiced black magic. He was supposedly a prominent man in the village.

My brother in law and I were literally just talking about this over the weekend! I had no idea it was actually Berenstain until he told me. So crazy.

Anyone else wants to quit their job and travel the country trying to solve these mysteries?

Preferably a straight woman. We'd have a platonic relationship, but eventually there will be some sexual tension and romance. We'd both separate and go our both ways before reuniting in order to solve a big case.

Everything on the deep web is disturbing.

    yeah good okay Prestigious

I've been on the deep web a few times. The second time, I clicked a link and it took me to a page with a notice that basically said "We cannot link you to your destination as it has been a known source of child pornography. We understand accidents happen, but this occurrence has been logged."

After hearing about "red rooms" and having to put tape over your webcam, combined with the above experience, I decided that it was best not to visit again.

    Takes a Bit More

At some point you learn there are certainly places on the internet you want to steer clear of, and I have. Some things are best left unseen and you don't have to look that hard. Some simple searches can bring up some shiii you can't unsee. I'm actually surprised that it didn't bother me more considering I don't even think I'd cut it as a volunteer on a fire dept, EMS, etc.

That loneliness is not a function of solitude.

Read about it and that is awful and I think it would ruin just about any sane person to actually watch that.

Is the deep web the same thing as the dark web?

I've always assumed it's probably best to steer clear.

is this a place for fictional horror too? ik we have a horror thread but i feel like that's a bit broader given it's basically about the range of cinematic horror movies

I hear there's a spooky place called absolutepunk.net that's a ghost town right now. Supposed to be very haunted.

well that but I've also been itching to discuss Year Walk, it's a superb mobile (mobile!) horror game that's built on Swedish folklore and legends. it's pretty much aptly described as "very creepy," and it's also really solid as a game and touching as well. it's so good. that's all

Didn't even think it was real when I first heard about it. thought it was some urban legend type video. beyond terrifying stuff.

As far as the deep web goes, I've only been on it once to check out the silk road out of curiosity. It was after bitcoins became popular so the silk road was gaining publicity. Didn't see anything terrible though. It was mostly guns and drugs iirc.
