“The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense
I work in the town in which the real life story comes from. Edit: just realized the news reporter says Brookfield towards the beginning if the teaser.
To be honest, no one has really brought it up. I dont think many people are aware of the connection between this movie and the real life incident.
I get COVID messed lots of things up, but does it feel really quick for rollout for anyone else? Almost like studio doesn't have much confidence in it.
It is my least favorite of the three and since I really enjoyed the first two it was hard to not feel somewhat disappointed but I still had enough fun with it while the two leads kept things engaging.
That's pretty much what I'm seeing on horror twitter. The leads are what keep people watching, however, there isn't a memorable "big bad" for it.
I just feel like the story of this one already had me by default thinking it would be the weakest of the 3. I’ll still watch it with an open mind (and prob still enjoy it).
Don’t have any huge expectations, and honestly 2 isn’t really that good. 1 is so much better so I’m not too miffed if there are so so reviews.
Seeing this in theaters tomorrow. I'm not a huge fan of the series, but I'm a sucker for horror, so, I'll be there.
I loved the sequel. I might actually go seek this out in theaters (but I already have hbo max so I probably won't... they gotta figure this shit out)
