This is a name that I've not heard in a very long time. Looking forward to checking out their new album.
Rageboi is wild as a single. It’s like, not bad, but it’s also only a minute and ends really abruptly.
Yeah, kind of a strange choice for a single. I told a friend it sounded like they were responding to people wanting them to make more aggressive songs, and that it's likely going to be the only aggressive song on a super mild, laid back album haha.
Matt throwing shades at bands like Yellowcard, Anberlin etc. To be fair, he is not wrong, I don’t really like this strategy either but what can you do.
Does he mention bands by name? Cause to boil a bunch of people's life events down to a "strategy" is a really naive, ignorant, and almost mean-spirited perspective to take.
No, he did not. It was purely my addition. Altough there are some special cases where life gets in the way and some bands go their separate ways, for a couple of them this is indeed a strategy.
I've honestly never heard of any band doing it as a marketing strategy. I think that's a take that's at best, extremely cynical. Can you give me an example?
I do not engage with this band on any social media, didn’t know they were so annoying. I’ll just keep listening to The Silver Cord and ignore all of that.
To be fair it's not like anyone came out to see them the first time they were around (and I like the band)
Just snagged tickets to their show with Emery next month! While Rageboi is just alright, I liked the song that went live on Spotify briefly a lot. Feeling like this might be a bit more my speed than PITS.
