Not bad at all. If you’re cool with a minor mid season spoiler (that’s been talked about openly in the thread) the AI bot is rooted out almost immediately
My wife told me her coworker read that this season was filmed during the SAG strike, which would explain why Michelle wasn’t able to come through for the finale. I suppose without her there, there’s no reason for the players to meet at the “dinner” table or whatever first before going into the finale room. Would be fun if they did a season reunion with Michelle though
Ooooh this makes more sense. I thought it was just they didn't want to pay for her to be in person so they did it all in Post. This is a better reason
I'm happy with the winner and would have been satisfied with any of the final three. Really liked all of them. This seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I actually kind of liked the format for the finale. It definitely felt a little barebones and "cheap," but it was kind of nice just seeing the players interact naturally without a host asking them specific questions or anything. Thought it was kind of a nice change of pace.
Finally caught up today. I hated Jordan but did think he was a fun villain, we don’t ever really see that on this show. The best strategy is always obviously to play super nice to everyone, especially in the public circle chats. It was fun to just see someone go HARD in one of those for once lol.
It wasn’t the cutthroat nature for me as much as it was that he was so obsessed with one specific person. Watching him became stale pretty much immediately - you always knew what he was gonna do or say whether it was in game or behind the scenes. Every other player formed new bonds, showed different sides of their personality, surprised us with their ratings, etc. It was just always the same shit with him, which in turn became more disappointing once we realized he was the last new player lol
Jordan was good, and he was right. Myles was running the game and he had to go, end of story. Jordan absolutely was right to hyper focus on that and actually play the game
IMO it was QT running the game, but even if it was Myles, it’s not like Jordan running to every player being like “hey what about Myles? Kinda sucks right? Myles is controlling us. I’m awake! I think we should take our Myles. Myles hit on me :( Myles is a bad man!” was ever, in a million years, gonna get him a win. He played the game and played it terribly - by the end the only person that even remotely trusted him was Lauren, who took everything she read at face value
Fair, in the sense of winning the game it wasn't great, but in terms of getting rid of the head honcho it did work. All this to say, the biggest issue with The Circle in general is how the winner is chosen by a standard ranking. You always end up with a middle-person/floater winning the game because any strong players get tanked by everyone so they don't win
That strategy also gave him virtually no chance of winning at the end though edit: I just read the posts above
I’d argue that’s part of the strategy of the game as is. It’s often best to not make too much noise and float around the middle the best you can. Contestants should go into the game knowing being a big power player is a big risk That being said, I do wish they’d come up with some better way to determine the winner
I just wanna see someone right off the bat just starting rumors and talking shit. But they’d probably get eliminated next episode
Yeah I’m not sure I’ve seen a player on this show tell so many straight up lies to other players. It certainly played to his advantage in making it to the final because everyone knew he’d inadvertently boost their ratings
Apparently season 7 premieres September 11th? Didn’t hear a word about this and just saw the “new season coming soon” banner on the Netflix app just now lol I can’t wait
New show on USA (and Peacock, I believe) called The Anonymous. Kinda like a cross between Big Brother and The Circle. First 3 episodes are out and were pretty fun.
