My bad! I thought you might mean that but found 0 in that vein.
Was this as they became Run Kid Run? I know their original singers Marcuss left mid writing the second album and David Curtis, the bass player, had to take over guitar/singing for the album. They were a two piece for that record and it was like 90% written by the guy who left haha.
I was BIG into SWS and was so excited for Run Kid Run. Loved their first album, was lukewarm on the second, the third Patterns is so good.

All but one of the members of RKR were in Side Walk Slam. I think it was more or less the same band, but a couple of members left and the style shifted a bit so I guess that’s why they changed the name.

Anybody remember Cadet? I loved these guys. First album was a fun pop-punk with surf influence. Second was a bit more serious with some great melodies. Love these guys!

A few weeks ago I rediscovered them and went on a bit of YouTube dive on their new stuff. It's honestly not bad. There's something about their style that is just fun.

They're one of the most positive rock bands out there, IMO.

That’s cool, didn’t realize they were still active. I’ll check ‘em out.

They fixed your brain when you were young.

The one with the mailbox on the cover was one of the first CDs I ever got. My mom randomly bought me a walkman, this cd, and Songs from the Penalty Box. I definitely listened to Songs From... way more, but that Cadet album is still bringing back some memories.

Just inherited this poster of Christian music recommendations from the early 2000’s 5CE803C2-25BC-4A20-B17D-E2470A06AD38.jpeg

Wow. A poster so old it's promoting P.O.D.'s pre-major output.

I only recognize three bands on that list, and one of them is only because they've been mentioned here.

yeah it’s kind of confusing because Norma Jean is on there and their first release with that name was 02. So maybe it’s from like 2001 before satellite comes out?

Wow. Memory unlocked of seeing that exact poster many times in my childhood.

Holy crap Sick of Change. ObiWan.gif moment right here. Our youth group saw them play in concert somewhere and one of the girls became OBSESSED with them thereafter.

Got a good laugh at Denver & The Mile High Orchestra being listed on there. Extreeeeeeeme Music!!!

We had a list very much like this one hanging above the CD player at our local Family Christian bookstore back in the day. A store I worked at by the by. In the running for worst job I ever had! From corporate and their endless demands for higher numbers in everything you said and did on down to the customers who were some of the worst clientele I’ve ever encountered. Always loved when the customers would say things like “you must love working here” and I’d grit my teeth like “ohhhhh if you only knew.”

    Fight the long defeat.

New Kings Kaleidoscope out today! I'd lost track of this companion album, but a buddy texted me this morning. Intrigued to listen, especially with the final track also named for the band. Wonder if they'll hang things up with this record?
