Their instagram story mentions it I linked to it on the thread I just made for the band. But you have to go check out their story to see it Secret & Whisper • forum.chorus.fm Edit: okay, so the original post I saw on their story is gone now. But there was something there.
Oh wow they were legit back in the day Also does anyone remember Earthsuit? I was reminded of their existence yesterday
Yes! Darren King was just on the Black Sheep (HM Magazine) podcast and talked about Earthsuit/Mutemath history.
Some of the dudes from My Epic are also in a really excellent post-rock band. They just released this today.
They released an album a few years ago called "SEE" which is one of my all-time favorite post-rock albums. Really beautiful stuff.
Anyone here ever see Kings Kaleidoscope live? Just saw that they're coming through Detroit in June and I was really into their earlier material when I was a Christian. Definitely curious about their live show
I've seen them a couple times! They put on a great show. I'm more a fan of their early material but I'd expect great things from them if you have the chance to go.
Really enjoyed seeing them on the Zeal tour and they’ve become a must see for me when they come through (and I’ll be getting presale tickets tomorrow!)
Hope this leads to more than just this one show. Either way, good to see them still active in any capacity.
I am sad to be late to the party but I bought Benjamin Daniel’s Shelterheart album in February and I really wish I had done so last year when it came out. I cannot stop listening - it sounds so good. A great job @Lucas27, a great job indeed. Lots of brilliant influences - the opener and closer are perfect and really hit me. I’ve been listening for almost a month but it feels like there’s a rich depth in the lyrics that I still need to explore. I would highly recommend giving it a listen if people haven’t already. He’s too humble to brag, but we have a real talent in this thread.
I’ve really enjoyed some of the Labeled podcast content recently. The Jimmy Ryan Haste The Day episode was insightful. I need to listen to part 2 with Stephen Keech.
Did they stop for a long time? Because I listened to it when it first started but it didn't seem to be getting new episodes
Tickets for mewithoutYou's farewell tour went on sale today. I will be at the Pittsburgh date with tears in my eyes.
I think they’ve been fairly consistent with one podcast episode a month, but I might be wrong. They’re doing Labeled: Deep Dive into the new Underoath album as well at the moment so there’s double the content.
It’s the one thing the pandemic stole from me - UK farewell shows. I have come to terms with it. Hopefully they stream one of the final ones again like last summer.
I am hesitant to post this here as it is not technically music related but everyone has always been so supportive here so throwing it out here anyway! My wife and I have been working on a book over the last few years and we're doing a pre-order / crowdfunding thing at the moment. We've designed it all from scratch and I am really proud of it. It's got a lot of my writing and her photos and is hopefully an inspiring piece of art. I am not expecting any pre-orders as the shipping is ridiculous from the UK to the US. However, if anyone has any disposable income here and wants to help the dream come true please feel free to do so! Information about the book and pre-orders here. Crowdfunding donations here. Blurb: My wife is a florist so there's a lot of floral language. I would say it's a deeply spiritual book without being in your face and it reflects some of my faith journey of the last five years so think a lot of people here will be able to relate. (Actually, there is a link to Christian music as there are a couple of subtle (and not-so-subtle) nods to John Mark McMillan, As Cities Burn and mewithoutYou in some of the writing!) Anyway, thanks for reading and cheering us on from across the pond!
This sounds awesome, really glad you shared it here! I have somebody close going through a journey of trying to find/hear God through pain and this sounds like a perfect companion through that process. Also, you had me at As Cities Burn and mewithoutYou lol
