Any Project 86 fans around? Crazy that they've been around for 20 years. I haven't really listened to them for a while but I got this press release in my emails: The most interesting thing there is to see them tackling transgenderism - I wonder what line they have ended up taking there.
Not sure if he's been posted about in here yet, but this is my favorite song from probably my favorite Christian album from this year
Hadn't heard of this guy before but I'll check it out. The video isn't available for me (perhaps because I'm in the UK? Not sure) but his album is on Bandcamp so I'll listen to a few tracks and buy it if I like it.
Here to talk about the new Beautiful Eulogy album... one listen in but it is so good! (Also been listening to the Emery 'reimagined' album today which backers received two weeks early - also very good).
A vinyl pressing of Maylene & The Sons of Disaster "II" is up here: Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster II LP (Black Vinyl)[PREORDER SMLXL EXCLUSIVE]
Awwww man, now my first pressing copy isn't valuable anymore. At least more people will get to own an excellent album. I hope Dallas is still doing well.
I bought Son I Loved You At Your Darkest on vinyl the other day and just spun it. Had a more geniune worship experience with that just now than i've had in any kind of service for years. I need to find a church that just plays that record every week.
I need three really good worship songs to introduce my youth to this evening. I stopped listening for so long because I saw most of what was on the radio or in church to be artistically bankrupt and generic. I haven't really been up on worship music, or listened much to Christian radio in the past 5 or so years. I've stuck with the songs I already knew, but didn't really have any worship with music in our meetings due to lack of the time and ability to do it, but now I shaking up the format and really want this to be a part of it. I can't really have all the worship music I expose them to be Dustin Kensrue and John Mark McMillan.
If it has not been mentioned, go grab Matt & Toby's (both from Emery) I Quit Church. Simply a beautiful album.
Loud Harp’s Immanuel is one of my favourite worship songs this year. The album (Hope Where There Was None) is as creative and interesting as JMM and Dustin Kensrue i would say.
not sure where to put this, but here’s a new track from Carrollhood (Tim from UO & Nate from Anberlin), new album coming soon!
