Yeah, I go there so it was free. It was a super interesting call, the guy had a gigantic brain tumor and legitimately would not let Chris get a word in, honestly one of my favorites I've heard of the show.
It was honestly hilarious, he managed to not be depressing about it which I didn't think was possible as soon as he said tumor. Dude had a good attitude about it and talked more about being a garbage man and eating ass than the tumor lol
Nathan Fielder (Nathan For You) is doing a show at UNT in a couple of weeks. Apparently you have to be a student or on the faculty to get in. Do you know anything about this? Is there any chance an outsider like myself could get in? I'm dying to go but have no idea how these shows typically work. I know Gethard was open to the public, but this one is not.
Yeah, Fielder is definitely closed to the public they were clear about that one, usually they're open, like when Jon Benjamin and Eugene Mirman are coming in April. If you know somebody who is a UNT student they can get you in but someone you're with has to have a UNT ID. If I end up going I'll let you know and can try and get you in, but currently I have work that night
Dude, if you or anyone you know is going and can get me in, I'd be a happy happy man. I'm not sure of the cost of tickets, but assuming they're like $20-25, I'd be willing to pay for your's (or whoever's) ticket if it meant I could get in.
Just realized that with 8 episodes left, if they don’t skip any weeks the finale will be on thanksgiving. Wonder if they’ll do a sandwich night thing and make it the day before? May not be possible with a cable schedule they have to stick to, but it’d be great. More likely that they’ll just skip that week and have the finale a week later though.
This was a really beautiful episode honestly, really touching. Especially the call with Sally. Also that last revolving stage gag was pure, concentrated TCGS
wow that was fucking good, I totally cried a little haha. so glad to see him just be like "this is fucked and Im not okay" and have it still be really funny and heartwarming, felt like a public access episode and couldnt be happier about that
First time I’m watching live this season because I’m staying up all night to play Odyssey and skip work tomorrow lol
Really great episode tonight, Short Ghost and Random Erin failing to throw candy was the best! Side note: I went to a TruTV viewing party tonight at a bar in Portland. There ended up being 6 of us who showed up for it, so we ended up getting 2 drinks and an appetizer each on Tru's dime. Plus some TCGS swag. Great night!
