He's heard the SOTY one before.

It's also a great record! Both have top tier tracks called Miracle.

So I gave @WolvesAreCircling182 The Wonder Years - The Greatest Generation and Bring Me The Horizon - That's The Spirit , while he gave me Starset - Transmissions and Three Days Grace - OneX

 

Better late than never but here's my thoughts on my second recommendation of round 4 from @littlejohn.

Circa Survive - On Letting Go (2007)

This is a band I've been meaning to check out for a while now, I've heard good things about them and they always seem to tour with other great bands (Thrice, Touche Amore) but I'm disappointed to say that I just did not feel this album. I'd probably describe it as progressive rock and it reminded me of 30 Seconds to Mars, another band that I'm not a fan of. It took me 3 sittings to get through the whole album and it felt twice as long as it actually was, there was nothing there to hook me in, I really wasn't keen on the singers voice and it all felt very over produced and safe. These guys are obviously a fairly popular band but it's just wasn't for me and I can't say I'll be in a hurry to listen again.

I love Circa Survive now, but it literally took me years to actually get into them. I wouldn’t expect most people to have that type of patience/willingness to keep trying, but I’m glad I did.

Also, I have to say sorry to @WolvesAreCircling182 bc I am running so behind this week. Idk how he takes on multiple partners each round bc I can barely keep up with one partner’s recommendations in the given time frame lol.

 

I'ma be doing my listening tomorrow/Wednesday for this week and will have review up Wednesday

I was bored during lunch so I took a few minutes to make a little spreadsheet to track what albums I've listened to and what albums I've assigned for the CMCS.
