yeah, you don't want to let me pick my partner or else you'll just get me recommending albums to @Joe4th and @dadbolt over and over
Why don’t you let two of those people partner up and then you can really focus on the two recommendations? Just a thought.
They joined at different times and we can’t predict when new people will join. If it’s close, like when you and your partner did, we usually do what you recommended
It makes sense. I just know it’s hard to give one record a lot of love and attention, let alone 6. Then again, it’s nice someone listens to something that they may have never heard that someone else adores.
Welcome to the club! I’ve fjnished my Recs for this week, so DM me and I’ll trade with you for the remainder of the week
Alright me and @WolvesAreCircling182 have decided ours. What he has given me: Story Of The Year - Wolves Senses Fail - Still Searching What I have given him: Direct Hit! - Brainless God Remo Drive - Greatest Hits Looking forward to doing this.
Glad you enjoyed it man! I hadn't heard of these guys til a few weeks back when @Colin Your Enthusiasm recommended them. Thise acapella tracks were a refreshing surprise and act as cool little interludes. I love the transition from Tangerine and Gone to the Ground so seemless. Such an all around great album and I agree top notch production. My favourites would be: Ultra Blue, Only Rain, Tangerine and Your Favourite Dream
Glad to spread the love. Album is super underrated. I agree on the production. Their progression with this record really impressed me. Was a worthy addition to my vinyl collection. It has had great staying power/replayability with me.
@elemenohpe and I were partnered this week. My two albums: Edan - Beauty & The Beat I'm not big on rap tbh but this album was super good. The beats were probably the most unique ones I've ever heard sampled in this kind of music. It gave me a strong Doomtree vibe which I like a lot. "Beauty" stood out to me most of all. The strings brought it to a whole nother level on the album as a whole. The lyrical content is super intelligent. "Making Planets" sounds Hendrix inspired and I am a casual fan of Hendrix work. It had some freaky kinda blues sound going on which is perfect. All in all, I think I would give it an 7/10 which is high for me on this type of record. This is what this thread is for though, going out on a limb and listening to shit you otherwise wouldn't. Hooligans - Heroes of Hifi This album is GREAT. It will be heavily in rotation for me so thank you for that. Breakdowns, synths and gang vocals are what I love about some albums and this was so perfect. Every listen through I felt like I heard a different influence, TBS, Sum 41, Blink, All Time Low at times. I don't really know how to explain it. This album is just fun. I caught myself bopping around the house at one point it's so catchy. I honestly can't pick a favorite song bc I love them all. 9/10 for sure. Thanks for the recs, elemenohpe!
Been lurking and I've decided this seems fun, I'd like to give it a shot if that's possible I'm very bad about listening to things + being open minded to something new/unfamiliar so I figure something like this could help with it
Welcome aboard. You are in! You can trade with me this week if you like, or wait until next week for a partner.
