I've never gotten around to listening to week ones album. I'll do it by week 5, then I can get paired up again.

 

if I've literally listened to a couple Thursday songs does that count? I think I listened to one United Nations song too

 

I will start posting my thoughts on the albums @Contender gave me this week.

I will start with Depeche Mode - Violator. Out of the 9 tracks on this album, there were two I was already familiar with (Enjoy the Silence and Personal Jesus). I really liked the album. I think it's my favourite out of all the albums I have listened to in the club. World in my Eyes was a standout to me. The instrumentals in that song kinda gave me a Supermassive Black Hole vibe. All the songs had interesting sounds but my favourites besides the ones I knew before were World in my Eyes, Sweetest Perfection, and Policy of Truth.

I will post my thoughts on the second album later. I haven't really had time to listen to it (because SotY).

if someone gets me for this and they give me a Thursday album I'm legally required to listen to it

 

I wonder what the sentence for not complying would be. I think being forced to listen to The Canyon would be bad enough to prevent people from doing it.

 

This new Prurient album is 3 hours and 20 minutes long. That’d be a fun one to assign :)

I looked online for the world's longest album...apparently some welsh band has a 111 track, 4 disc, almost 5 hour long album. Imagine assigning that...muahahahaha

 

Metallica’s Master of Puppets deluxe box set is 11 hours and 27 minutes, but that’s probably cheating haha

 

you were recommended brilliant albums, At The Drive In and Thursday are all timers and while ATP isn't the Menzingers firing at their absolute best, it is still top tier 'Zingers. Enjoy. Insanely jealous of you rn

 

He truly is in for a real treat this week, if he can stop listening to Wolves long enough.

 

I don't know what wolves is but Thursday and ATDI are seriously some of the best bands ever and the Menzingers have some of my favorite songwriters too so I'm excited for him
