Damn I chose not to preorder like I did their last album, cause I'm trying to save money, but it looks so good that I'm kind of regretting it!

Thank you! It's great to be back. Also, I've just realised that I've never watched Ghostbusters and I probably should haha
I totally agree, it's the kind of album that comes out of nowhere but suddenly everyone is talking about. Thanks a lot! As a non native speaker sometimes it can be hard, but I try my best :)
Last week @marioeatworld recommended me Dollar Sign's album, This Will Haunt Me. First of all; gotdamn! This is right up my alley! I'm completely astonished that this band has slipped under my radar. Instrumentally, it brings Jeff Rosenstock to mind. Fuzzy guitars scream four chord punk, while the rhythm section frantically blasts the songs forward. There's horns, keys and I'm pretty sure I heard a glockenspiel a handful of times. The music has an uncanny way of bringing to mind packed, sweaty basements that reek of beer (and that's not a bad thing). The lyrics are desperate and cathartic. I found myself often relating to them a bit more than I'd like. The record is full of songs about the impending doom of growing old and living with your shortcomings. These lyrics mostly go over quite well, with just the occasional hiccup. In Shallow Pop Songs there is a tangent about James Cameron's Avatar that seemed to go on for just a few too many measures. Finding records like this is the reason I wanted to join this group. I will definitely be following this band from now on. Thanks @marioeatworld for this killer recommendation! RIYL: Jeff Rosenstock or McCafferty Standout Tracks: Cry Hard Sadderday Tears/Beers/Fears
I searched your name on Apple Music and you didn’t come up. I’m guessing Spotify. If so, I’ll make a free account.
Not done it yet, I use my girls account since she has Premium. I might just screenshot a list on my iTunes which would be easier
I'm so glad that you liked it this much! Great review, although I must say: that section of Shallow Pop Songs is one of my favorite moments in the album haha.
@Kiana gave me Rituals by Roxiny I liked the vibe on this and her voice, sorry I don't have more to write the Blur cover was cool standout tracks Neo, Golden Prophet
So I thought I had this down but damn, 10 songs that are important to me are so hard to pick haha. I could do a triple album here.
I could basically just ask anyone to listen to ...Is A Real Boy for the most important album of my life.
