For me, Silverstein have always been alternating between a good album and a great/excellent album.

No!

 

Rescue has grown on me since it's release but only because they became more ambitious. If they stayed on the Rescue path I wouldn't have appreciated it as much as I do now. I agree with all those assessments but for some reason I never clicked with Shipwreck as much as I would have liked to.

 

Shipwreck might be another case of "it's the first album I heard from them"

 

Shipwreck is their best

 

I don't think so cause I've heard from many people like @nfdv2 that think it's their best. I just don't think I've spent enough time with it. I got into them on Broken and although that has a special place for me they have plenty of albums that have eclipsed it.

 

You should check it out again, it might click. My favourite is The Wind Shifts though. That album is stellar.

 

I always thought shipwreck was a consensus favorite with Wind catching up quickly. I always liked rescue more than the average fan I think. Good Luck With Your Lives and In Memory Of are top 10 songs

 

Oy I just went back and saw the telle/Gillespie tweets. By reading all these tweets you’d think UO put out a pop country album. Their old stuff has fingerprints all over Erase Me.
