Mate, such a great review. I'm so glad you loved the album, hopefully that'll give you the push to delve into some of their other releases, I'd say Pleased To Meet Me or Tim would be best for your next listen if you want to check out more. I think it was at this point in their career where things started to fall apart for them relationship wise, Paul Westerberg had kicked out Bob Stinson prior to recording this and with Tommy his brother still in the band I think those two weren't on great terms. Paul wanted to push for a more commercial sound while the others weren't as keen to ditch their punk roots. I think that's why you kinda get two different sounding bands clashing on it, I love that juxtaposition though I feel it gives this album real character. I want to give your album another listen before writing something up, I'll probably post it sometime tomorrow morning/ around lunchtime depending on when I get my lazy arse out of bed.
Take your time mate, and not that you would but don't feel compelled to love it just because I love your rec so much. Yeah man I really love that clash of sounds, it's such an interesting and unexpected listen. When I think it's going one way, it takes a different direction or adds a different layer or sound.
I might pull a @JediMasterKevo182 and spam the thread with a ton of reviews this weekend. Seven to be exact! Also, I’m doing a day one review of the new Reggie and the Full Effect later this evening.
