idk how to feel about this, definitely skewed more towards Asian representation, surprised a few I rewatch all the time like Scott Pilgrim didn't make the cut

 

If worth considering, but in the album thread this wasn't the scoring system used as it could distort results (Is number 1 on your list worth 50x more than number 50?), so I think 1st Place got 75 points, with a point dropping from there until 50th place got 25, which feels a bit fairer with a 3x difference as opposed to a 50x difference. May have been a slightly different starting number, but it wasn't 50 - 1 for points.

 

Appreciate the heads up! I'll take this into consideration.

I read “The Body” with my students every year and we ended the week by watching Stand By Me. I paid attention to it closely this time, for the first time in so many years, and found it to really be lacking. The novella is a quick one, and one that could benefit from a more accurate depiction of the text in a film. I’d probably push it into the 20s if I could

 

Just an update, I'm about a third of the way through tallying. Hoping to have the final list posted by next weekend!

 

I knew my list would never be perfect but pretty sure I left off Home Alone and that was a big blunder on my part. Love that movie. Probably not top 20 so I’m not too worked up about it but damn, definitely would be top 50.

Well shit, believe I forgot Inside Man as well. Love that movie, can always watch it. I don’t agree a lot with what The Ringer puts on The Rewatchables podcast but this is for sure one of those types of films.

Very happy to see Alien and The Thing in the top five.

Still need to see The Godfather Part II (this weekend), Do the Right Thing, Before Sunset, Into the Spider-Verse, In the Mood for Love, Solaris, Before Sunrise, Princess Mononoke, The Tree of Life, and The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly.

Should probably revisit Mulholland Drive, Zodiac, and The Lord of The Rings trilogy.

 

The top 3 are the only ones with 9 or more votes. Overall, about 2/3 of the movies listed had only one vote. (About half of the movies on my personal list had only one vote.) Out of the top 50, @phaynes12 and @CarpetElf had 18, @ChaseTx and @oncenowagain had 20, and @Rowan5215 had 21 in their personal lists.

 

Love that Wet Hot is in the top 15.

Looking back at my list and it'd probably already be a lot different now.
