It’s hard enough for most to list out 50 but it would be curious to know what makes each persons list in term of if it makes it because it’s just a favorite to watch, the craft of making it or something else. Like, I love all PTA films but I couldn’t put TWBB on my list because while it’s exceptionally acted, directed, written etc. it’s not something I can just throw on at any given time. For that I have to be in the right mood. I assume most people that have TWBB are rating it based on being an exceptional film not like “hey let’s throw this on to enjoy because it’s a favorite I’ve seen 100 times” but idk maybe someone is like that lol

 

this is likely true. I had like 5-10 films immediately come to mind that I would be surprised to see on anyone else’s list but the rest turned out to be pretty well known / liked around these parts I’m guessing / looks like so I kind of surprised myself!

 

I legit have never “met” someone who has even seen The Rules of Attraction, let alone even liked it lol. I remember being obsessed with it in high school when it came out and made my gf at the time and her parents watch it and we got like, 10 minutes in and her dad turned it off and shouted, “Jesus Christ that was depressing as shit! And he LIKES this movie?!” lmao. I honestly didn’t see it as depressing until maybe 4-5 years and several dozen viewings later (not sure what that says about me…)

 

Hahaha I would definitely not share it with my in-laws! I think it’s both hilarious and depressing, to be fair

 

So far, I'm missing Clerks, The Blair Witch Project, and Raising Arizona. Will need to fix that before the final count.

 

I was so fucking dense in high school lol no fucking way would I really recommend it to anyone nowadays let alone want to watch it with them. So many dark and depressing scenes, even outside of the obvious ones. No idea what I was thinking, but that’s high school lmao
