Got my list on my OpenOffice. Every album I've heard ranked from best to worst. After nearly 8,000 you can imagine the changes this top ten went through. Used to be rockist as shit.

 

To elaborate, My top album has always been LZ4, but the top ten also used to have Hysteria, DSOTM, Appetite for Destruction, A Night at the Opera, Let England Shake and a few others I don't remember.

 

Every night I go to bed hoping that i'll wake up to a Letterboxd for music

Alas...

 

So it's way too hard for me to even think of doing an all time list, but last year I put together an Albums of the Decade 2010-2019 list, which was:

That was a lot of fun to make hit me with any suggestions especially non-rap since I feel like I've definitely listened to more than enough rap.

There is no such thing

 

Just by skimming your list I can tell you’ll discover a LOT of incredible stuff by branching out and listening to other lists. Your rap selection is a bit samey too so I think exploring far and wide is your best bet.

 

Ye in the top 25 is the content I'm here for! Not that I agree or even really like that album but these lists are about what you like, and this is cool as hell to me. If you want to listen to some more stuff, I'd suggest there are other albums by some of the artists you mention -- for example I'd rate Abbey Road well above Sgt Peppers if you haven't listened to other Beatles.

 

Revolver is my favorite Beatles record, then Rubber Soul.

 

Thanks, I'm actually a huge fan of Ye, not a single track is a skip for me and Ghost town is my favorite track on the album. Kanye also gets a little benefit of the doubt for me because he's by far my favorite artist as you can tell by me even putting JIK on my list. Also I love all of the Beatles' albums Rubber Soul and onwards.

 

That's awesome, I love all of Kanye's albums up to Ye but from that one I only really listen to Ghost Town and Yikes now. Agree Ghost Town is the best. My favourite modern hip hop group is Run The Jewels, guessing you've listened to them? And I love going back through the 90s hip hop classics. Illmatic is my favourite from there, and (ducks) the first Wu Tang album is the main classic that I just don't like. Sorry everyone.

Going through this thread again and reading through the commentary on the lack of women musicians in peoples lists/the ending list (not trying to start a discussion on that), and piggybacking off of this suggestion:

I thought it would be fun/interesting/important to do a version of this thread but just for your favorite albums made by women, especially since a lot of the lists were male dominated and only 13 albums in total made by women made the final overall list.
