Now that I understand how the comments work I’m going to have so much fun with them

Yeah I left comments on every track because I wasn’t sure what we were doing with that

Now that it’s over though - dang! The 15 point total thing was a twist I didn’t see coming. Voted somewhat conservatively this time to feel things out, but it may be more fun to make more weighted choices going forward. The notes things was also fun, I like the ability to make a case for my submission instead of just putting it out there

Still can’t believe there was already another Petey song lol. Didn’t give it points since I wanted to spread my votes out and was already responsible for him being there twice - but in a round where I vote with heavier bias I’d be liable to put like 7 on it. Glad to hear they both put some people on tho. That’s my current AOTY

 

Also yeah, this next round is gonna be tough to pick for. There are so many different fall ~vibes~

Songs you hate by artists you love is gonna be wild lol. Dunno how y’all are playing that one, but I’ll for sure switch it up and actively vote for songs based on how much I also dislike them

 

Can I add whole Weezer albums?

 

It’s also fun to try and guess who picked what, haha. Had Moose and PauLo pegged immediately in this one. The only guess I felt strongly about and was wrong was the Ratboys song, woulda lost the house betting that was Spo for some reason

 

I love the comments, I love when people get harsh too so feel free to dig in if you hate something haha

 

I definitely mentally flagged this to talk about when we get to that round, but I think in my mind I think it's best to like.... vote for what you think meets the prompt best. Like, when you see if do you agree that its's a great artist and a bad song? Like, I personally wouldn't vote for a bad song from Imagine Dragons, because I think they are bad already, but if it's an artist that I love and I also dislike the song, I'd throw my votes there...

 

I'm going to get flak for my song I hate from an artist I love. I know it's a pretty beloved one.

Hometown band is frustrating because there were so many great local bands from my area whose music never ended up on Spotify.

Is hometown the town I live on or the one I was born in or the one I grew up in or whichever one of those I want? lol

 

If it's the town I live in now you're getting "Hey There Delilah" and you'll like it. Really though, any of those options works.

 

I don't know if there is a perfect solution here, but one idea is to submit like... a false song, then in the comment write "here is the song" and link to youtube. But then it won't be in the playlist, so it's not a great solution.

Kinda hilarious you say this because the guitarist/second singer in Plain White T's actually is from my hometown and I was in school with his sister

 

What about a song dedicated your hometown or that makes you think about your hometown? Haha

 

my take for this prompt, and any prompt, is that there aren't really hard "rules," and each person can interpret as they want

I’ve been thinking for like 30 min what to pick and I’m no closer to deciding, haha. So many options

 

I think I know but I keep second guessing it

 

If you can't think of a song just do what I was originally gonna do which is be an asshole who makes a stupid pun by just picking a song with "Fall" in the title.

Note that if you use my idea I'm legally entitled to half your votes.

 

I can just submit Fall Out Boy again
