Yeah another really solid playlist. A lot of different genres and some new stuff for me to dive into

 

I relistened to Minutes at Midnight the other day and it’s pretty solid

 

What's the smallest league anyone in here has played in, and was it fun? I have six (including myself) based on Pittsburgh but I might have to round it out with some folks in here, lol

 

Will Smith’s “Miami” transitioning into this Drain song is *chefs kiss*. I audibly laughed in my car.

I was browsing the open leagues and just saw one with 42 rounds. The final one was scheduled to go live in July 2025! And there were only two people in the league! What the fresh hell man

 

Oh yeah and my alternate picks this round were Sufjan’s “Chicago” and Elvis Costello’s “This Is Hell”. Ultimately I didn’t feel Chicago played a big enough part in “Chicago” and that Hell was going to be too outside the box as a place for this round lmao

 

My second choice was Lifetime's "Theme Song For a New Brunswick Basement Show". Very specific place and moment:

I've been in a few leagues based around the alphabet (sometimes with additional rounds for numbers/symbols and/or specific events coming up during the league, like Christmas) but those all were only like one week or less per round.

 

I have one that has 6 in it. It’s pretty fun. We just chat and vote for each others songs.

I've had both Miami AND Los Angeles is Burning fully stuck in my head since yesterday afternoon.

 

My alt this week was Toronto by Silverstein, chose not to honor the profile picture though.

 

If you didn't listen to the Superviolet album from last year, Infinite Spring, I highly recommend it. One of my favorites of the year and it's Steve from The Sidekicks new project. Kinda picks up where they left off, but definitely on the mellower side of their sound.

I also considered Limbeck's "In Ohio On Some Steps" this week, but despite having a specific setting the theme of the song doesn't really fit the theme of the round.

 

I think I’m obsessed with Bear vs Shark because of their appearance on the previous round.

 

Voted. This week was fun and there were a couple tough decisions. Two MtB tracks so a choice must be made. Good job everyone.
