considering figuring out a way to automate creating these playlists on Tidal because that's the thing that causes me to stall on voting lol

 

in theory, the scene league should be discussed in the music league chat itself since at least half the league isn't on this website

Getting to voting in the scene league, just noticed we’ve got downvotes on! This is gonna be real interesting haha

 

I have a few friends in this league who regularly play with downvotes and they convinced me to add a few. I think it works for a league like this with a big playlist, I think most rounds will have a song or two people won't like.

Also, I saw that someone left the league today, I wonder if it's the person who is currently in last place realizing they didn't know what they joined haha

 

At first I was sure I wasn’t gonna use the down votes but one round into the scene league and my inner gatekeeper came out

 

Also, you have to use them, it's not a choice

I think these playlists are big enough that'll we'll be able to find at least one song per round that deserves it

 

Or is you can figure out @trevorshmevor pick, throw him the down votes so he doesn't win another league

 

Downvotes are fun and, IMO, there are easily more than 2 tracks on the scene league playlist that deserve them

 

Yeah I think there were about 5 this week that were deserving of one, so I gave one each to the biggest offenders (which are currently in the last two places)

 

I haven't decided which ones I want to give the downvotes to yet, which is the main reason I haven't yet voted.

I might downvote people who chose the wrong songs from their respective albums

 

i think i probably did that unfortunately.

 

scene league spoiler if you haven't voted yet: I am kicking myself for doing Say Anything, which I think was a good pick in a vacuum, but clearly current Max is pretty terrible and that likely is getting me some downvotes. I should have thought a bit longer or at least written a line about how I clearly know his is trash now. Lesson learned.

The ads on the app are so fucking annoying

 

I'm considering paying for the year TBH, it's not that pricey and I use it a ton.

Also you can do 48 hours ad free if you watch one big ad sometimes

 

If there was a one time price I’d do it. Subscription is corny

 

I think part of it also is just the big playlist and this round on particular being about the huge songs and there's just simply better picks. Very curious to read if my down votes are for what I think or just not liking the song

 

We’ve got 30 Seconds To Mars and Piebald on the playlist, which contain arguably much worse people lol. Depending on how Online you want to get about it, there are problems with a few others too. Everyone is gonna pick a problem child at some point
