If a song was submitted ~2 seasons ago in an entirely different category... Is it kosher to use? Or should we steer clear? Had to do some digging to even find out it was submitted but want to be sure.
Some people give fewer points maybe, but it is not a given, especially because we have members rotating in and out etc.
Curious how people “run out of points” each round even if they like a song. Seems like a problem that could be fixed just by spreading more of the love and not focusing it all on certain tracks, right?
You can like a song but like the others more. Maybe there's a song you really enjoy and want to give a bit of shine so you do 2-3 points instead of 1 which would leave you at odds. Whenever I get that, I just tick it in my head as a "mental" win and move along. Haha. Counts just as much to me to turn somebody onto something new or get them to see a song in a different light as the points. The game is much more fun that way... Especially if you're able to still do decently well in the standings.
oh yeah, I honestly don't care much if I "lose" or win a round or even really how many points I get, though it's a good indicator if people liked my selection. just curious how those listeners decide to give out points. don't think I've given any one track higher than 3 points as of yet
I think it all depends, I've been in leagues where you get less points to give and what happens is you only really give things 1 point because there's not enough to give multiple votes to multiple songs
I’m running a league and set the point limit higher than I meant to (12 players/16 points) but I think it’s been fun to see what people want to give a ton of points to each round. But I have to be honest, I wasn’t thinking that hard about any possible point distribution strategies
I've got 5 points left before even listening. Good picks, everyone. This round will go by fast for me!
Taking the point spread conversation to heart this round, somebody will be getting most of my points haha

If this playlist taught me anything it's that people all have very different definitions of what a one-hit wonder is. Seems like some people focused solely on the chart positions while others factored in the entire gestalt of their being. Which is cool, TBH. This playlist was super fun! Looking forward to the next one...
