I've seen him thrice, and two of those shows have been with a full symphony orchestra...both times have been unreal.
Listening now as I cook dinner and this playlist is so fun. Wish I got a little more creative with my pick/comment!
Man, this playlist was a blast and so many of the picks were super inspired! The winner really deserved it with that prompt. And so many of the picks fall into the category of "I wouldn't ever listen to this but if it were the theme to a show I liked it would 100% wind up stuck in my head all the time." For this next round... The example includes a song written after the original. Is the spirit of the prompt that it could work in the reverse too? For example if a singer had a big hit on Top 40 this year but there was some random band from New Jersey with a song of that same title in like, 1996?
Thanks - it's been knocking around my noggin for at least five years and I'm working on a treatment of sorts for it now! Who knows how it will come to fruition -- maybe even a concept album -- but it will be realized somehow, someday.
Sorry I missed the last round, been on a road trip around CA and totally missed submitting. I would have voted for the Bosstones though
Missed the last round and was bummed I couldn't look at peoples' comments because I couldn't vote! But now I can!
Yeah, I agree. As long as the song submitted is less famous than the other song, but still a good song in its own right, I would give it a vote. I don't care about order of release.
Word, I kind of assumed that was the prevailing opinion but didn’t wanna be the odd one out if I took it that direction haha
this is WILD No Rap Songs Are in the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 40 for the First Time Since 1990 No Rap Songs in Hot 100's Top 40 for First Time Since 1990
If you read the article you can see that would look bleak without that too, though not this bleak for sure
Regardless, rap is having its worst decade and almost the only people still able to put numbers on the board almost qualify to be old school now
