I just remembered that not too long ago I might have cried to D12’s “How Come” lol That’s rough but damn if it didn’t hit very close to home

 

I'm seeing The Wonder Years today at Riot Fest today and was really considering two of their songs for this round: either "Flowers Where Your Face Should Be" but particularly "Laura and the Beehive". Love this version.

 

I love Wonderwall, but I often see it memed on here in the states.

 

listened through the playlist making dinner yesterday and unfortunately none of them made me cry while i was in the cooking mindset but then i was cutting an onion and started crying from the onion and naturally the irony of the whole situation made me laugh

 

I have to be careful where I am when I'm listening to "Laura and the Beehive"

 

This is literally so hard to determine votes for that I'm ~almost~ tempted to just split them between the two or three songs that actually choked me up. Really great stuff from everyone here.

 

Agreed. That's how I'm feeling about this voting round too. Only a few that I personally connected with. I am at a crossroads of accepting my heart of stone or pushing myself to emotionally connect with a bunch of these on a deeper level which feels a bit draining.

 

Made it through and agree with Aaron, it’s a great playlist. So tough to vote!

And since Ratboys has a new single out today, I’m realizing The Window would’ve been a great pick for this round. That one always gets me.

Big ups to @Friendjamin for that Alabama Deathwalk pick, jammed that EP a few times earlier this week and really dig it

Also really thought I gave that Sufjan pick a point? Maybe I just forgot? Thought that would’ve ended up higher in the rankings but I guess I am part of that problem lol

 

I was gonna do Real Death but already used that for the lyrics round. Then I panicked and picked Sufy, meant to change it to Anecdotes by Joanna Newsom but forgot

 

I do need y'all to know that I did cry real tears when RK played "A Better Son/Daughter" at Riot, I have witnesses.

 

This proves that Virtute is the preeminent emo cat

 

Yeah, this playlist was a rough listen. It didn't make me tear up but... I definitely got close a few times at some very unexpected moments.

I teared up while listening to "Androgynous" by The Replacements this morning. What a sweet song.

 

I'm shocked no one (myself included) picked a Hank Williams song

I'm late but joined because I need to expand some discovery out and this looks great as a fun thing to whittle the work days down with too.

 

Second round in a row that my pick was already taken. I love this community, man. my kind of people! I picked a pretty generic one for my second try and surprised it wasn't taken yet. I'll try and come up with something else in the meantime, because I'm guessing it was chosen in previous seasons already.

 

Frankly, we suddenly have so many new people in the league that I’m not holding repeats against anyone. The member list looks way different than it did even just 3-4 seasons ago, let alone the 6 new faces just this season

 

I wish I would have read this after dismissing my first thought because it would have been a repeat
