@Patterns in Traffic my half assed internet research when asking the same question - they spelled Blessid like that apparently to distinguish which pronunciation of the word “blessed” they would have meant if they actually spelled it Blessed which is genuinely the most galaxy brained thing I’ve ever heard in my life
I love it, but also, I've always referred to them as Bless Id without knowing till now how they spelled it, so I guess it worked?
Same, it’s a mystery how at any point in my life I’d have been able to name the artist but somehow never clocked the spelling
I’m a known cry risk when it comes to most movies, and can come up with probably a dozen television scenes off dome that would send me over the edge on any given day. For some reason, music seldom has that effect on me? At least not when it comes to every-timers. But I will say In This Diary always makes me tear up for some reason lol - hope I’m not stepping on any toes by calling it out. It was used last season so would probably be ill-advised anyway
Your comment both answered my question and debunked my assumption that they were a one hit wonder. Huge value add
I have a song that absolutely is my #1 pick here, but going with a different song. I'll say what the first is if no one else picks it
My #1 pick is Sleep in the Heat by Pup but we’ve already used that song twice in the pets round and I think one other lol
Smh if I our American to European ratio was the other way around I would have killed the radio round with Wonderwall
The Lion King comment killed me. I know exactly what you mean. I call it "Australian music" (but doesn't have to actually be Australian, usually is not). Can't quite explain why except for vague associations based on stuff like music videos and commercials in the 00s, but it makes sense to me.
I love sad music. I had a lot of options to choose from but really there’s always been 1 song that just wrecks me so I had to go with it.
My top pick is Taylor Swift's "Ronan". Absolutely devastating, even more so as a parent, but I couldn't subject you all to that, it's too much
Historian by Lucy Dacus and Dagger by Slowdive are the only two songs that made me actually shed a few tears watching them performed live When I was like 11 or so I cried a few times to What Would You Do by City High lmao. Could not tell you what that was all about On The Nature Of Daylight is really effective at making me well up, but more so in association with the movies/television that it is used in
