I submitted with less than a minute to go then immediately thought of something better but couldn’t get it submitted in time. Here it is:

 

Didn’t have time to write comments but I’m about to be in the mountains with no service for 4 days so I managed to fit this in today and submit votes before I leave tomorrow.

I am currently in the mountains with like, one bar if I’m lucky lol. Somehow this was the only push notification that came through for me overnight, just picked the first thing that came to mind, barfed out a caption and sent it

 

Left this playlist for the last day but it’s a wild ride listening to this at 8 am

 

I was looking at the remaining prompts and had to figure out my Tunecore credentials in case I want to get a new subscription to put my band's album back on streaming for next week haha

 

Ended right about where I thought I would for this round - assumed I would get last lol. I like the song but know that type of stuff doesn’t land well in the league. On me for not thinking about my pick before leaving to go camping!

Gotta be one of the shortest playlists we’ve had! This was a surprisingly tough round to pick for. Including the one I went with, it was sort of a toss up between Gilmore Girls (Carole King, come on man) and Veronica Mars

 

Oh man, Veronica Mars would have received votes from me for sure

 

I missed the deadline. Thought I had submitted yesterday morning but I guess I never clicked through and was shuffling kids around to activities yesterday.

Anyway, I was going to submit The Simpsons theme and wrote something about how the dude from Oingo Boingo went on to compose one of the most iconic pieces of music of my lifetime.

 

Surprised The Simpsons and The Office aren't represented on here!

 

Ah. I have just stumbled upon an issue where myself and someone else have submitted different versions of the same song. One version doesn't appear on Spotify, which was why I missed it the first time and probably why we were both able to get it on the playlist.

 

I was shocked when I submitted mine so late that no one had taken this song already. Turned out you probably had lol.

In hindsight, I kinda regret not going for the Scrubs theme. Or "Let Go" by Midtown because it was the theme song on that one season of the Real World/Road Rules Challenge, hah.

 

Woah! Did not know that about the Midtown song. The Real World was always a cultural blind spot for me

 

The Scrubs theme was on my shortlist, as was this song from Peter Katis' band (better known as a producer for The Gaslight Anthem, The National, and other indie rock bands) which was the theme to a short-lived Fox comedy called The Loop back in the mid-00s:

 

Damnnnn "Flagpole Sitta" for Peep Show would've been a GOATed pick.
