This was my first submission, but then I couldn't remember if I actually liked it so I switched

 

Y'all some of the songs on this made me REAL sad though.

 

I thought I had finished the playlist and submitted my picks, but I still had one more song. I'd like to apologize to the person who submitted the Teenage Bottlerocket song. If you lose by one point, just know that I would've given you one point

 

that's the first song on the playlist!

Despite my T-pain pick not getting many votes, which I of course expected, I do appreciate that it created a divide between people who believe it's about his dog and those who don't. I guess we'll never know...........

That's why my comment was "I see what he did here".

Similar to Trevor's comment about his wife walking in during the Counterparts song, my wife walked upstairs while this song was playing .... gave me the raised eyebrow look, and said something like "since when do you listen to T-Pain??"

 

Small side story. My wife works with student activities at colleges and 5-ish years ago her college hosted an on-campus concert event. The were able to afford T-Pain as their headliner and my wife got me into the event with a friend of mine. I have to admit, I was actually blown away. The man is a PERFORMER with amazing stage presence and didn't care that he was playing a small college event, he gave it his all. I never really dug into his stuff but after that show I came out with a bunch of appreciation for him

 

I honestly thought it would too. I’m only a casual PUP fan so didn’t think of it myself, but upon hearing this was like “oh, this is the song multiple people were trying to get” haha

 

I believe the T-Pain song is about his literal dog because composing a fucking banger for his dog’s birthday seems right in line with everything I’ve learned about his personality lol. Seems like such a great dude that knows how to have fun

 

I have no idea where I’m gonna take the last round. I’ve always had a go to answer for that question but the artist was recently outed for sexual abuse so I feel like I should uhhh broaden my options lol

 

Interesting to see where this round goes. There's a fairly obvious few songs which I'm expecting to see. No one had scooped either of my first two choices, which was interesting.

 

I like how totally broad this one is. Kinda think it’d be a fun theme to always have holding down the Round 9 spot if we keep with the 10 round format

 

I'm having trouble picking what to submit, there's whole discographies of bands I have to think about

 

I have two. One of them would probably do better, BUT only if people listen to the whole song.

I love this comment, because I) I think this is my role in this and II) it is literally the by far most obvious choice about this topic to me, and I have never even heard any of the other ones, except maybe the T-Pain one
