I submitted a song then switched it less than two minutes later

 

Damn we all really snapped into action on this one lol

 

I'll set the playlist live when everyone is submitted and then we'll have a nice long period of time to listen

Not to give myself away so far in advance, but might I suggest changing the name/description of the next round? Some instrumental bands/songs have the occasional, minor, non-lyrical vocal part. May not have even been worth mentioning, but I don't wanna bone myself on a technicality.

 

I was also wondering about wordless/unintelligible vocals and whether they would disqualify a song from the next round. I decided to play it safe and avoid them based on the round description ("no human voices allowed"), but I also kinda felt like it would probably be fine. Is there an official ruling?

 

I don't know who submitted it originally, but whoever did, maybe they can decide?

 

That was a topic that I suggested, but wouldn’t be surprised if I wasn’t the only one haha. I didn’t have any specific rule or song in mind, was just kinda throwing stuff out there. I like Steve’s additional description of “no human voices allowed” and am good to roll with that, but if that’s too narrow then I’m game for whatever!

 

Yeah the only reason I wrote that is to make it a bit more specific, I think the more specific the prompt the better the playlist, but I'm not tied to anything

 

I think e.g. instrumental songs with human vocal samples are are still instrumental songs, so I get the request

 

I can’t decide between a Jazz song and an electronic music song

 

This current round hasn't piqued my interest in the same way the others have - anyone else finding similarly?

Ah I totally disagree - at least as far as the playlist goes, I'm liking the tracks on this one a lot more evenly than many of the others. The theme isn't as controversial or abstract, so the submissions feel less charged, but I'm liking the songs themselves by and large.

 

Yeah I enjoyed this round too! A lot of great picks in there.

Anyone else been keeping a running list of themes for the next season?

 

Finally getting to listen today - I'm more surprised that at first glance, there are TEN songs on this that I don't believe I've ever heard before. That's exciting to me!

 

I like that half the songs are about dogs, haha

 

I plan on listening today and submitting. excited to hear the submissions!

 

It took me longer to have time to listen to this playlist, but now that I have, I added more to my own library from this list than any other so far!

 

I'm excited to listen today or tomorrow.
