The first ever playlist where reading the blurbs takes more time than listening to all the songs

 

here you go! at first blush, there's a lot of heaters on this playlist!

 

It really does warm my little heart to open the voting page and see a paragraph for each entry, I'm going to dive in tomorrow most likely, I'm sure it's gonna be a tough week to balance votes

 

I’m about halfway through listening to the playlist and reading everyone’s notes and it’s great, really loving this round

I'm working my way through it today, I try not to extend if I can help it but I'll chime in if I do

 

When I submitted this topic I didn’t anticipate how hard it was gonna be to vote for this round lol I feel like I can’t just read some heartfelt story and then give 0 points

 

I'm having the same problem, 20 points is not enough. I haven't even started the playlist (tomorrow, i promise!) but I skimmed through some of the writeups and already am like.... how can I not give everyone a point!?!?!

 

I gave everyone a point haha. The toughest decision for me was who to give my one extra point to!

 

kind of at a loss for the next round. can someone throw out an example song that constitutes having a jump scare element?

 

Yeah there is a song that came to mind for me, but I don't feel like it is shocking enough to be considered a jump scare

 

I’ll say just because it brought it up before, but BYOB by System Of A Down has what I would consider a jump scare at about 3:46 lol. But I won’t lie I can’t think of many others. I have like two in consideration and will be rushing to get one of them

 

Mine I is more like a sound/tone/volume change I guess, definitely made me jump

 

Yeah sudden dramatic shifts (from like quiet to loud specifically) is what I had in mind for this upcoming one

 

We alluded to it earlier, but Vices is def the scene’s most notable jumpscare and I hope no one uses it haha

 

people can use vices or brand new songs until the cows come home, they should just know it’ll end in a zero points round

 

can we get an extension? not sure I’m going to get around to it today

Thanks, I was gonna need an extension too. Pittsburgh had a weird once in a generation storm and like half the city is without power since yesterday afternoon. I’ve been driving around to random bars/cafes all day looking for places to charge/do “work” lol.

 

All I see in this post is "I've been driving around a city without power trying to listen to our Music League playlist all day" and I appreciate the dedication

 

Oh man, going through this playlist and at the Small Brown Bikes track right now, which reminds me of a submission that totally would have worked for me too.
