Weird Al and SOAD need to be added to the Justin Vernon list.

 

It was my idea and I still think it’s a good one although I actually didn’t realize until today that it was chosen and I’ve already used the artist I was thinking of for an earlier round.

My condolences to whoever else tried to submit Little Dawn. After I typed out “it’s alright” thirty times and went to hit submit, I briefly thought about how pissed I’d be if somebody already submitted it and I typed all that out for nothing

Done lol. My last name is German for beef so it’s basically the same thing

 

I am a little bit too, it of course fits the round but since it’s been used in a previous season I assumed people would be harder on it. It’s been a busy couple of weeks so I didn’t really have time to think much about a pick, but I did hear a podcast about the song recently (as mentioned by @Patterns in Traffic) so it was fresh on my mind

 

anybody want to enlighten me re: justin vernon? too many bon iver picks in prior seasons?

 

what was the podcast? i must have missed the post. i loved the song in elementary or middle school, whenever it came out

One of my friends did a multiple years long podcast about Chumbawumba. They didn’t even get to Tubthumping until episode 74.

Basically yeah. It was excessive for a minute.

 

Oh for sure, same. It’s a hard song not to be fond of! The podcast is called “Chris DeMakes A Podcast” - it’s essentially a show that breaks down the production and lyrical content of hit songs in a one on one conversation with the artist. The Chumbawumba episode was from sometime in March.
