I never tried to get into SoaD and only ever heard them in the periphery. I know people will tell me to give them an actual shot, and I know that lyrically they are very much up my alley, but the two songs I’ve heard from the league, and the fact that their drummer is into Trump, do not really make me want to try at this point in my life. Deftones is another story. I have tried, and I don’t hate them by any means, but I just cannot get into them at all; they have some nu-metal elements that just don’t work for me.
soad had that one song on the radio (wbru) and it was just a big turnoff for me. i admittedly never tried to get into deftones.
SoaD was big when I was a tween and at the time I thought they looked so corny that when I saw their posters on the wall of this girl I had an insane crush on my crush kinda faded I hadn't even heard their music at that point probably.
If it’s another SoaD or Deftones song I’m going to find a way to give you negative points, which is probably possible considering how glitchy the app is.
Also, I know this probably goes without saying but all my remotely negative comments are meant in jest! They of course reflect my actual feelings but there are only a handful of songs in all these seasons I’ve done that I’ve thought were, like, objectively bad, haha - and none of those were Deftones or SoaD songs, which just come down to taste/are just a me thing.
Honestly surprised not to see Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I absolutely hate that song, but it was the first obvious one that came to mind
My song is not going to do well (I was considering changing it but didn’t realize it was going live today), and Want You Back is probably going to get all my points unless it gives me bad feelings. (It was a song my ex and I listened to a ton.)
