alright y’all i got a noob etiquette question – voting for yourself? voting your others? is there a general rule of thumb? how do y’all typically go about it? some heaters in week 1. i put the playlist into apple music in case we have some non-spotifyers in da house.
Pretty sure it doesn’t let you vote for yourself. Split up your points however you want! If you feel one song deserves all 20 go for it!
My default is that every song gets a point unless it doesn’t fit the prompt or I really don’t like it. I then give out those extra points to my fave(s) from the list.

Again agreed with the above - I started dispersing my points right away and could not believe how quickly I ran out. This is tough! Also side note I almost want to give all 20 votes to that Heavenward track. WHAT a choice - didn't know that anyone else around here knew/liked that record. I feel like it was very slept on.

I think his relationship to Teenage Wrist caused some people to shy away from it, but agree it was excellent.
I don't know what teenage wrist is, nor who me rex are, nor anything at all haha... I suppose I should read up. Knowing nothing, my current position is that this rocks
Teenage Wrist is a rock band that surfaced in the mid 2010s, previously fronted by Kamtin Mohager, who coincidentally used to write for AP.net (not really relevant, but just since you might remember the name). There were some allegations regarding TW from a person who used to post on this board, not related to Kamtin, but other members of the band. The user did not feel comfortable going very public about it, so it stayed here. Kamtin since left the band and started Heavenward
Yeah, to be clear, I don't think the allegations had anything to do with Kamtin or that he was complicit in the things the other members were (allegedly) complicit in, but there was a cloud of uncertainty around the time Heavenward started. Me Rex is a totally different band and has nothing to do with any of this. But yes @irthesteve Megabear is awesome. Their other album and EPs are very good also.
So excited for this round. I submitted this theme at least twice so I’m glad it’s finally being used. (Or did someone else submit the same one? I didn’t suggest it for this season.)
