just a quick update, I'm waiting to start the new season for a few beats because the app has been pretty buggy lately, and apparently the developers quit? I don't know... but until the website works, I'm not going to start the league because... well, I can't hah

 

I just thought of another team so am submitting if we’re waiting anyway

 

The iOS app always gives me issues, but I’ve found the desktop version to be pretty reliable

 

just submitted a round idea hope I wasn't too late!

 

the desktop app has been down for a few days now, but it seems a simple fix is to "log out then log in" haha

 

@Elder Lightning It took me forever to be able to, but I was looking at the results from the Short Songs league and noticed you joined it as well. First off, what a wild league and playlist. Second, you and I gave each other points for almost every one of our submissions, so that's awesome. I added a comment to almost all of yours

 

I always use browser version on mobile, mostly works but needs a lot of logging in somehow

 

Haha yeah, that one was intense!

I had to do something to limit the pool of songs since there were almost 700 and only 100 points to give out. Since it was supposed to be songs under a minute, I eliminated anything that was 1:00 exactly or over (a couple were like 3 minutes?) and then eliminated all the TV theme songs and repeat artists (I wanted to give points to Bluey and a couple of the repeat artists, but alas) and then tried to focus on ones that were actual songs and not just intros or interludes, even if I submitted a couple of those myself.

 

And I wanted to leave comments but had so many issues with the voting for such a huge league that I didn't want to lose my progress.

I haven’t joined any of the random leagues. Have any of you been a part of one with downvotes on? Is it any fun? I could see it getting weirdly ugly with the wrong grouping of people. But giving downvotes to a 3 minute song in a “songs under one minute” round would feel cathartic so idk

 

I've been in ones with downvotes but not any time recently. I'm usually struggling at the end to give something a downvote, I would just rather not vote for something.

 

Have you listened to the Me Rex album that I included a song from? Most of the tracks on that are under a minute, but it's 52 tracks that are made to listen to in any order, you can just throw it on shuffle and have a different experience every time. A lot of repeated lyrics and motifs, so it feels like there are verses and choruses, but a really cool concept.

 

nope, new to me! I liked it though so now I'll have to go check it out!
