This was going to be my pick. Part of me still kinda wishes I'd picked this one, though, because it was written about my partner and I (thus the song title). So it's pretty much the ultimate mushy love song in that regard. Very literally. LOL But... I figured it wouldn't do so hot in this context. And the song title/my user name and avatar might have given it away. Anyway. It will 100% be getting played at some point during our wedding (and probably part of a wedding favor mix CD we're doing, hah).
Also - and I knew this would happen but I did it anyway - my comments on all the tracks are just lyrics to "Love Love Love (Love Love)" by As Tall As Lions, but they ended up out of order because of the vote tallies.
Definitely worth checking out! I'd also say Southeastern is a must listen when it comes to Isbell. I like Weathervanes too.
I loved the themes this season. Also, Trevor was my biggest fan which is kinda crazy because my first season (the second season) he was my biggest critic
@irthesteve was my biggest critic, which is weird because I feel like our tastes largely align, but maybe it's just with a certain subset of artists.
Pretty funny, I guess what it means overall is that I simply gave my points to other songs instead of yours, I'd have to look through what tracks were yours again to think about it
I'm just talking shit. My point-allocation process is generally that every song gets a point unless it deserves to have that point taken away (i.e., a song I hate or doesn't seem to fit the prompt at all) or absolutely earns an extra point (e.g., a non-obvious pick that absolutely nails the prompt). I would be surprised if I was anyone's biggest fan or critic.
Alright everyone, submit any theme ideas you have for the next season!! Chorus.fm Music League Season Seven
I’m rollin’ with whatever yall cook up since Steve started the EVERY SINGLE YEAR league. which by the way , thank you, I am loving it!
I don't think I can top "Bangers & Mash," but I am going to actually submit and vote every round this time!
I'm getting excited to get into years soon where the variety picks up, especially in later years, to see what kind of stuff gets submitted, I think it could get pretty diverse pretty quick
