There is a song about abstinence (sort of, a little bit) that I love but it is not on Spotify and somehow I also cannot find my MP3 anymore
Read that again, it's comparative, recognizing that both the Black Keys and Tame Impala were doing a derivative sound at the same time.
I dunno what to tell you. That song you posted is just the most milquetoast dude being like "yo, have you guys ever heard of the blues? Check this out . . ."
Aaron didn’t even post that song, I did lol. I’ve stayed out of the argument because I don’t even particularly like that Tame Impala album/sound (I love Currents though), I just thought it fit the prompt well.
There is truly only one song that can win this current round. Unfortunately, one of you assholes picked it before me.
I almost went with the Divinyls song but if we’re splitting hairs that’s really about masturbating, not sex lol. Also I listened to like 30 seconds of it before having flashbacks to sharing a room for a while in college when my roommate had it as his alarm tone. Totally ruined it for me
@trevorshmevor I listened to the whole George Clanton album this morning, super interesting stuff. I really dig the vibes, great morning music, the mixing choices are definitely artistic but feel strange at first, but I get it now. He seems to have a fair amount of released material, should I check out more or is this the album?
Oh word! Yeah agree on the mixing, sometimes it feels a little muddy to my ears even if it’s intentional. The only others I’ve only heard are 100% Electronica and Slide - the former of which I like more, but they’re both good. Gianni was saying he really liked the 2020 album but I haven’t heard it yet!
I almost submitted “paradise by the dashboard light” but I figured y’all didn’t want to listen to an 8 minute song
Well then - I tried to use this one as my first choice. great minds think alike lol kinda bummed I didn’t try to resubmit. That’s the first that’s ever happened for me haha
White Mystery is probably THE sexiest of their songs but there’s also plenty of others to choose from for them. I feel like most of their songs are about sex and/or drinking.
