My bad!! Work has been killing me so I went to sleep earlier… but I knew I had forgotten something

 

Who picked Sash and where in Europe do you live

 

This would’ve been my pick, first discovered through a magazine sampler when the album was about to be released.

Lostprophets was actually my first favorite band but they’re obviously a pass, so the second band I could claim as a favorite was Enter Shikari.

They’re not the only ones who infused electronics in their songs, but they taped into sounds from specific subgenres I ended up diving into in the next 17 years. Drum n bass, jungle, trance… all in a bit more straightforward way on this song and the debut album, and they would blend these influences in more seamlessly over the course of their career. They definitely shaped a significant chunk of my music tastes.

 

Aye …from Engerland…we were en-‘tranced’ with European dance music in the 90’s..I’m looking forward to seeing Scooter next month

 

I’m disappointed you didn’t chose Ecuador, the far superior Sash song IMO

 

I was about to laugh at how poorly I am doing this week, but then I realized that most people haven't even voted haha. Curious to see how this plays out.

I cannot believe my shitty Offspring song got 20 votes haha. I didn't re-listen to it before submission and I totally forgot about the UFO noises in the chorus lolllllll

 

Everytime the country of Ecuador is mentioned, I always hear that song in my head!

Also I've just realised the album version (which I submitted) wasn’t the single version, which was a remix…and a better track….should have copied the link and not gone on the drop down

I don't hate Paul Simon, but I do think that this particular song is bad.

 

For the next round, are we talking about songs written for the soundtrack or existing songs that were used in a movie or show?

 

I was thinking songs that already exist, specifically NOT soundtrack songs
