Another conundrum lol

 

I had a Nickelback song all queued up but then I read this so I chickened out.

This round was hard! Not a lot of artists that I truly HATE, at least not with songs that I genuinely love and not just casually enjoy or tolerate.

 

It’s pretty interesting to me that I haven’t been playing to win at all yet I’m somehow slowly solidifying my fourth place regardless haha

I have a truly putrid song for the next round by an artist I love unconditionally, haha, so I hope that round people vote for the worst song

Less objectively shitty bands than I was expecting. Surprised not to see more neon-era groups, like 3oh!3 or Forever the Sickest Kids.

 

I'd say that four of the artists I do like, one I love, the rest I don't like or don't care

 

Lots of good picks here, including multiple where I like the band so I didn’t consider them for this round, but the song on the playlist is far and away their best.

 

Y'all didn't let me down, even at first glance I love a lot of these songs too lol. Going to be hard to vote!

 

I don’t think I hate any of these artists. So I think voting for me is going to come down to songs I like rather than artists I dislike

edit: actually no that’s a lie there are two artists on here I absolutely hate, my eyes are moving too fast this morning apparently

 

It was really hard to come up with an artist I actually hate (and then to have a song I love - it's usually more of a binary where I don't like the vocals or something and then I just move on). My pick was more a song I love and listen to all the time (where it doesn't really make sense that I do) where I don't listen to anything else from the artist.

I definitely did joke to my partner about choosing one of these songs specifically (and another artist someone chose) haha

 

Are we allowed to dunk on some of these songs in here?? I don’t want to be mean but I also don’t like Luke Bryan loll

I admire the person that dares to come out as a Frank Ocean hater haha

 

I’m biased but don’t like at least 2,5 Good Charlotte albums sound like that song though haha

 

I mean - I said "hate" is a strong word lol. I feel confident enough in the amount of his catalog that I have consumed and tried to enjoy over the last ~12 years to stand by my "overrated" comment.

 

I agree, trust me. I did consider his Moon River cover for the cover round though.

 

Only one actual artist on here that I would come close to saying I hate.

 

The range/interpretation of this category from y'all is awesome to me, there are so many different approaches. Especially when you factor in how others feel about said artist.
