I think I’m probably going to sit this season out.

 

Last Train Home was a banger but yeah that guy is one of the worst people of all time haha

 

I was literally thinking of lostprophets like, an hour ago, because I was thinking about the rest of the band reforming with Geoff and how I remember loving a lostprophets album but rightfully can't even recall how any of the songs go anymore and don't care to

 

What is this

 

Hope no one minds if I join up! I used to do one of these with some friends and it was fun but we just kind of faded out of it after running out of good themes for the week. Always gives me a good reason to check out some stuff outside my usual listening though.

 

short version:

each week everyone gets a prompt (you can see all 10 for this season in the link). Each player submits 1 song that fits the prompt. Once all songs are submitted, a playlist is generated with all songs, anonymously. Everyone gets to listen to the week's playlist and doll out 20 points across as many or as few songs as they wish. The song with the most points after voting is through wins the week, and an ongoing scoreboard is kept all season!

I’m something of a one hit wonder myself, actually (meaning I have about one submission per season that does well while the rest eat total shit)

 

I think I already submitted my favorite song of 2024 last season. It's sad how hard I have to think about this one because I've been dreadful at listening to new music this year.

Didn’t realize there was an update to switch on/off letting other players see your own comment before voting - interesting. I guess just a heads up to the newer players that aren’t sure what to do there, we have always played with that switch turned on by default and imagine most if not all of us will continue to!

 

Our COMMENT , or our description ? I assumed the description should always be visible …. Many examples in past season where people have been Swayed / sold to give a vote or two for a song based on the write-up
